After entering the main product parameters, the carousel can be sized by either fixing the stacking height to obtain the required carousel diameter or vice versa.

SCA designs, fabricates and commissions amongst others demountable carousels for both on- and offshore use. This tool provides a quick estimate on initial sizing of the carousel.

Method. Product volume uses a square cross-section (OD²) to allow for winding voids — a conservative, industry-standard approximation. The inner core diameter follows the product's minimum bending radius (Ø = 2 × MBR). The same annular relationship works both ways: from a basket height it returns the required outer diameter, and from an outer diameter it returns the height the product stacks to. Figures are indicative for early planning.
